Rather than go see a film, I felt I needed to DRAW today. Here's another self portrait (based on a webcam shot) this time using the latest version of MyPaint. I'm OK with the results. I think I needed to know I can still draw.
As for MyPaint, it's OK for sketching, but has a couple of major annoyances after using other drawing programs. Pressing the SPACE-BAR brings up a context menu rather than allowing you to draw the canvas about with your pen or mouse, and all too often it draws a line from your old position to your new one, even when you don't want to do that.
There may be workarounds.
